Del Monte Dish

Ok, here's another one of my favorites: go and get yourself registered for the Del Monte Dish newsletter. When you sign up, you'll receive $35 in coupon savings by mail. What's even better is they send e-mails from time to time where if you're one of the first 50,000 people they'll send you a coupon for a free product to try. I've already gotten coupons for a free grapefruit bowl and a free can of diced tomatoes.

While you're there, print the coupon in the right hand corner on the home page

for 75 cents off a can of 50% less salt vegetables. You should be able to get a can

for next to nothing using these savings.

Quaker Rice Cakes Sample

If you haven't already, you can request a sample from Quaker to try one of 2 different varieties of rice cakes: Mini Delights 90 Calorie Packs Chocolatey Drizzle or Quakes Rice Snacks Cheddar Cheese flavor. Rice cakes have come a long way, let me tell you, because these are great!

Become A BzzAgent

For those of you who aren't familiar with the Bzz Agent program, let me tell's a great way to test new products and share your opinions about them. I've been an agent for a while now and have been fortunate to try all kinds of new things, from gum to electric toothbrushes. That would be enough to get me excited in itself, but on top of trying out all kinds of cool things, you also earn MyPoints for the reports you submit, which can eventually be redeemed for a variety of great gift cards to popular merchants. So far, I've gotten a Starbucks and Target gift card.

Right now, I have the pleasure of reviewing a really cool product: CoverGirl Outlast Lipstain. My Bzz Kit arrived in the mail complete with a very pretty pink shade of Outlast Lipstain (the full-size product), a CoverGirl makeup bag, and some $1 off coupons to hand out to friends and family.
The stain is just like a marker, so application is easy. The color isn't heavy at all, either. It gives your lips a nice subtle hint of color that would be perfect for even the most casual of situations. I also like it because for me, sometimes lip gloss seems to get a little sticky, and Outlast Lipstain is such a light way to wear a little color that you'll never even be able to feel that you've applied it. It also stays put and won't rub off or transfer. With 10 different shades to choose from, you'll be able to find the perfect hue to match your coloring. I love it!

So, after reading this, if you would like to have the opportunity to test out some great new products and share your thoughts with your friends and family, I'd encourage you to head over to BzzAgent and sign up now! Go here and click on "How Can I Become An Agent?" in the upper right-hand corner. You may also want to check out the FAQ section--it'll answer a lot of the questions you may have about what being a BzzAgent is all about. Give it a try! I guarantee you won't regret it!

Travel Tip #1

If you're like me, you love to get away from time to time, but sometimes the cost of staying in a hotel is more than you can afford. Not anymore! is a website dedicated to helping you get the best deals possible on lodging through Hotwire and Priceline.

You can search by state by scrolling down towards the bottom on the front page. Choose the state you'll be staying in, then choose either Hotwire or Priceline for that state. People who have recently won hotel rooms on these websites will share the hotel name, star rating, location, and best of all, the price they got the room for. BetterBidding will then link you through to the Priceline and Hotwire websites, where you can make your bid based on the information you've received.

I've gotten several very nice hotel rooms for $30-40 dollars on a weekend using this site. You'll want to refer back to BetterBidding every time you travel. It's worth the time it takes to research for the money you'll save.

Recipe of the Week

This week's recipe is one of my personal favorites because it saves time and money and is extremely tasty!

Herbed Slow Cooker Chicken

1 TBSP olive oil
1 tsp. paprika
1/2 tsp. each of garlic powder, seasoned salt, thyme, basil, black pepper
1/2 C. chicken broth
4 chicken breasts

In a small bowl, combine oil & seasonings; rub over chicken breasts. Place in slow cooker, then add broth. Cook on low 4-5 hours.

I hope you like this one as much as I do!

I'd love to find out what kinds of posts you'd be interested in seeing in the future or any kind of advice you could give for a first-time blogger like me.
